The Invader From Outer Space
This character was the villain on the 35th episode of the British science fiction/space western series Fireball XL5 (1962). This character has no definitive name but is only known as the leader of an invasion force that had the intention of taking over Earth.
The series was produced entirely with marionette characters.
This drawing was based on a screenshot from the episode that was colorized by a fan.
I started using thin-point coloring markers to define the outline in certain areas of the person.

A series of coloring pencils and thin-pointed coloring markers were used on a sheet of 22.8" x 30.4 paper.
First, a light sketch of the alien was made.
Second, layers of the colors that were added to resemble the color pallet of the alien. Darker tints were added towards the areas where the light receeds.
The thin-pointed coloring markers were used to define the outline of the body, with a horizontal line that showed where the wall and floor met.
