This was a model of the fictional atomic-powered aircraft Fireflash from the famous action rescue series Thunderbirds (1965). This model is made at a smaller scale that is based on the original design by model effects technician Derek Meddings.
The model was my first project that involved creating a model aircraft.
This model was made from a collection of scrap materials.
The overall body was made from two small plastic shampoo bottles that were connected end to end.
Additional materials used in these projects are cardstock, thick card stock, pieces of plastic straws, cut tape, minimal pieces of foam core boards, and plasticine.
Everything is painted using acrylics.
