Geometric Dog

This "Dog" was created without the intention of resembling the exact visual definitions of a dog, but instead showing a profile of a dog while up close this familiar profile is a combination of shapes that almost resemble a dog.

Materials / Process

Several pieces of wood were cut into smaller pieces using band saws, before being smoothed and sanded using belt sanding machines.
Holes were drilled into each piece to connect together using power tools, while a small metal bar was bent to look like a tail.
Each piece was then smoothed out, painted and glued together with wooden dowels to provide stable connectivity and some articulation (spefically in the legs).
The whole piece can stand independently.
