The word MOVE was chosen to illustrate movement, by using inanimate objects to create the word through the process of stop-motion animation. While seeing this animation perform as a GIF takes only a moment, the actual animation process of meticulously moving every item with patience and attention to detail to maintain the slow and fluid movement of the items forming the word takes several hours of work.
Process:
With a makeshift studio, and a large neutrally colored bedsheet was spread out in order for the miniatures to be visible at all times as they moved. Matchbox cars formed to make the “M”, a model train formed the “O”, and some boats formed the “V”, with several ships forming the “E”.
All the frames were cleaned up using Adobe Photoshop before each frame was edited together and exported as a GIF using Adobe Premier
