A Landscape Of Vessels

These two depictions of vases and jars contain different arrangements of items.

The first arrangement contains a more limited color pallet, showing multiple cold colors with the yellow showing the one warm color.

The second arrangement shows not only more items but also depicts the setting around the subject which is also complimented by a more vibrant color pallet.

Materials / Process

A series of differently sized brushes oil paints, and varnish on two large 28 x 36 inch canvas sheets.
Light colors were applied to create the shapes.
More colors were added to help develop the features, often requiring the use of varnish that is mixed with the paint to provide a smooth at certain places.
