The Look Of A Building
This particular building was located along New Haven Green. The simplicity of the building's shape and modern features made it a good choice for me to experiment with architectural qualities while expressing additional details in the foreground such as the many trees in front of the building.

Materials / Process
A series of pastel and charcoal pencils were used on a large 18" x 24 sketchbook.
The rough shape of the building is sketched and the fine details were developed.
Finally, the outline in certain places was given a greater definition.
