As part of a sculpting project, I had the idea of sculpting a three-dimensional diorama of a Cold War-era submarine. The project started out as the side profile of a submarine in concept before I decided to create an entire three-dimensional piece of the submarine cruising on the surface, creating waves and leading a wide arrow-shaped wake of ripples as it sails through the water.
Sculpted entirely out of clay, which was then fired, glazed, then fired.
